BRADFORD LAW CENTRE - Job opportunitities
We are a charity providing free specialist legal advice to the most disadvantaged of the Bradford District.
Employment Discrimination Advice Worker:
37 hours per week for 3 years financed by the Big Lottery Fund: SCP 29-32 £23,749 - £26,067 (pay award pending). To provide employment rights training to local communities and casework in the areas of discrimination on the grounds of age, race, sex and disability. Required: Minimum 24 months recent experience of employment advice work, of which 12 months should be directly related to discrimination issues; Considerable experience of devising and delivering training programs.
Experienced Administrator and Audio Typist:
37 hours per week part financed for 3 years by the Big Lottery Fund: SCP 16-20 £15,824 – £17,781 (pay award pending). To provide audio typing, secretarial and administrative support to the above Advice Worker post and other caseworkers at Bradford Law Centre. Required: Experienced audio typist; RSA II or equivalent in keyboard skills; Previous experience of working in a similar capacity in a legal environment.

We are looking for an experienced adviser with a minimum of 3 years full time (or part time equivalent) experience of advice work undertaken in the last 3 years. You must have previous experience of working in a supervisory capacity with either volunteers or paid staff and must have an understanding of monitoring quality systems.

Hrs: 30 hrs pw Salary:£21,412 pro rata
Self Supervising Debt Case Worker
Hrs: 18.5 hrs pw Salary:£21,412 pro rata
Self Supervising Housing Case Worker
Hrs: 30 hrs pw Salary: £21,412 pro rata
You will be based in the Bradford Metropolitan District and expected to provide legal advice and representation to people who live and work in the District. You must have experience of advice and casework at Specialist Level in the relevant areas of law and be able to travel to provide services across the area.
Flexible options to meet contract requirements would be considered.

To deliver the full range of debt advice to clients in the district. Advice work experience essential.
Community Outreach Advice Worker
Hrs: 18.5 hrs Salary: £20,736 pro rata
Experienced advice worker required to deliver drop-in advice sessions at community venues in the district as well as working in the bureau.
The ability to speak Urdu and/or Punjabi is essential.
